The Angel Fund has provided Physician Led Access Network (PLAN) a huge boost.
The Community Foundation of Collier County’s Angel Fund, dedicated to providing support for community-based human and educational services in Collier County, has awarded PLAN a $15,000 grant this year. These funds will directly support PLAN’s mission of increasing access to healthcare for uninsured residents of Collier County.
PLAN serves uninsured Collier residents ages 19 to 64 who have an immediate medical need and whose individual and family income is below 200% of Federal Poverty Level Guidelines.
“This grant is going to go a long way toward helping more residents of Collier County who don’t have the means to pay for health insurance in the current marketplace,” said Dr. Bill Kuzbyt, PLAN Board Chair. “We appreciate the Community Foundation’s dedication to providing funds for so many worthwhile causes, especially regarding healthcare.”
The Community Foundation of Collier County awards grants through a competitive application and review process. Selected organizations receive grant dollars through a fund made up of donors who believe in the Foundation’s ability to identify and grant to the community’s most pressing needs.
